Most "top 10 AI companies in the Netherlands" lists are enterprise lists — Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, IBM — written by a firm that put itself at number one. None of that helps a 20-person wholesaler. This list only contains firms that publicly show work at SME scale, and it tells you which one fits which situation.

For a Dutch SME, the useful shortlist is small. Of the agencies marketing AI to Dutch business, a minority publish prices, and fewer still show work at 10–250 employees. The ones that do include SPAIK (Kickstart €14,500, live in 4 weeks), UnifyAI (agents €1,500–€25,000 one-off, €200–€2,000/month) and Crux Digits (audit €2,500, proof of concept €20,000, production from €50,000). Match the tier to the size of the problem, not to the size of the agency.
Every firm below was found through public search on the query this page answers, then checked against four criteria. We list what we could verify, and we say so when we could not.
Alphabetical. "Publishes prices" means the figure is on their own public pages, not quoted to us — it is the single fastest signal of whether a firm is comfortable working at SME budgets.
| Agency | Base / focus | Publishes prices? | Best fit for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amersfoort.ai | Amersfoort — data & AI advisory | No | Utrecht-province firms wanting an advisory-first start |
| Crux Digits | Nieuwegein (Utrecht) — build-focused | Yes | SMEs that want a fixed-price first project and a named engineer |
| DataNorth | Groningen — consultancy + large content library | No | Larger organisations with genuine data-platform complexity |
| Flireo | Amersfoort — IT strategy & AI consultancy | No | Companies wanting AI inside a broader IT strategy |
| Green Creatives | Automation on n8n / Make / Zapier | No | Workflow automation without custom model work |
| mAIxs | Utrecht region — advice, pilots, training | No | SMEs that want to start with training and a pilot |
| Ploko | AI combined with marketing & websites | No | Growth/marketing-led automation, lead generation |
| ROTZ.AI | Utrecht — agents, automation, integration, support | No | Scale-ups wanting agents plus ongoing management |
| SPAIK | Amsterdam — mid-market, adoption-led | Yes | Companies where staff adoption is the real bottleneck |
| UnifyAI | SME 10–50 FTE — agents, Exact/AFAS integration | Yes | A single bounded agent (invoices, leads, customer mail) |
These are the figures each firm publishes on its own site, verified 5 August 2026. Prices change — check the source before you rely on them. Everything excludes VAT.
| Firm | Entry step | Main build | Ongoing |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPAIK | Inspiratiesessie from €3,000; AI Fundamentals €6,490 (6 weeks, 10 people) | Kickstart €14,500 — first working solution live in 4 weeks | Longer engagements indicated at €10,000–€20,000/month |
| UnifyAI | Free AI scan; coaching from €150/hour | Agents €1,500–€25,000 one-off, by type (customer service €500–€5,000; finance €3,000–€15,000) | €200–€2,000/month; API integrations €500–€2,000 per connection |
| Crux Digits | AI audit & strategy €2,500; AI Act Check €950 | Proof of concept €20,000; production from €50,000 | Managed AI support €500/month (capped at 8 clients) |
The spread is not a quality ranking — it is three different products.
UnifyAI's €1,500 floor buys one bounded agent on an existing SaaS stack. That is the right purchase if you have one clearly painful, well-defined task and no integration work. It is the wrong purchase if the process spans four systems that disagree with each other.
SPAIK's €14,500 Kickstart buys a fixed four-week engagement where the deliverable is adoption as much as software. Their own material leads with people trained and ROI horizon rather than model architecture. If your problem is that staff won't use the tool you already bought, that framing is the honest match.
The €20,000–€50,000 tier — where our own proof-of-concept and production steps sit — is what custom integration against legacy ERP actually costs when it has to survive contact with real data. Below roughly €15,000 nobody is doing bespoke integration work at a sustainable margin; if a quote at that level promises it, ask precisely what is being built and what is being configured.
The honest summary: if a well-scoped tool solves your problem, buy the tool. Custom build earns its money when the process is genuinely yours and no product fits it.
We checked the lists that currently rank for "best AI agency Netherlands". Two problems recur.
DataNorth's "Top 10 AI Consulting Companies in the Netherlands" lists Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, KPMG, PwC, IBM, Sogeti, TCS and Xebia — alongside itself at number one. Every one of those is an excellent firm and not one of them will take a €20,000 first project from a 30-person company. No selection criteria are stated.
Ploko's "10 beste AI bureaus van Nederland" names itself first, publishes no methodology and no prices, and mixes agencies with software platforms (Dataiku) and an ecosystem body (Brainport AI Hub) as though they were comparable purchases.
Neither list is dishonest, exactly. Both are marketing pages wearing the clothes of a buyer's guide. The test to apply to any such list — including this one — is simple: does it state its criteria, does it publish numbers, and does it ever recommend someone other than the author?
Work down this list and stop at the first line that describes you.

Disclosure: Crux Digits is one of the firms on this page. We built the list, so treat our own entry with the scepticism that deserves — and check the others' sites yourself. There are no affiliate links, no paid placements and no reciprocal-listing deals anywhere on this page. The order is alphabetical, not a ranking.
Crux Digits is a two-tier-priced boutique in Nieuwegein: audit €2,500, proof of concept €20,000, production from €50,000. We are the right call when the work is custom integration against systems you already run, and the wrong call when a €2,000 off-the-shelf agent would have done it. We have said no to projects on exactly that basis, and we would rather you read this page and hire SPAIK or UnifyAI than buy a build you did not need.
A 20-minute call, no deck. We will tell you honestly if a cheaper option or another firm on this page fits better.
