AI assistant for caravan, motorhome and boat importers and dealers

An AI assistant answers habitation, gas, 12 V, outboard and parts questions from the importer's owner handbooks, service manuals, option lists and parts catalogues. Owners, dealers, workshop technicians and seasonal staff all ask the same knowledge base.

Caravan, motorhome and boat dealers get most of their questions in two short peaks: before the season starts and when it ends. Owners ask about the fridge and heating, technicians about damp readings and gas tightness, the parts counter about seals and impellers.

In short

An AI assistant for a caravan, motorhome or boat importer answers four groups from the documentation the importer already has. Owners ask why the fridge will not run on gas. Dealers ask which options fit within the payload. Technicians ask for the damp check points, the gas tightness test or the outboard service schedule. The parts counter asks which seal, impeller or anode fits which model year. Delivery dates, warranty claim status and workshop planning need a custom integration. The document side is what SimplyBoost, our own product, does.

Workshop and mobile technicians ask during the job

In March a caravan workshop runs habitation services back to back, and a marine workshop recommissions engines before the first launch. Technicians ask the same things all day: the damp check points for this layout, the tightness test after replacing a gas regulator, why the habitation battery does not charge from the base vehicle, the gearcase oil and interval for this outboard. On a WhatsApp Business number they type model and year and get the step from the service manual, the wiring diagram reference or the engine service interval, in Dutch, French, German, Spanish or English.

The assistant answers from documents only; it does not read the control panel or engine hours. A repair outside the manual or a warranty decision goes to the importer's service team in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias or Slack, with the conversation.

Parts questions

Which seal, impeller or propeller fits, from the parts catalogue

Caravan and motorhome parts change with model year and layout: a window frame, door seal or skylight can differ between two years of one model. Outboard parts follow the serial number range and shaft length. That knowledge sits in parts catalogues, exploded views and propeller charts. Upload them with a list of models, years and serial ranges, and the assistant answers which part number fits, with figure and position.

Dealers ask the same in your signed-in dealer portal, where the assistant recognises them by verified email address. An order request goes to the parts team with the chassis or engine serial number and the conversation. Stock, price and delivery dates come from the dealer management system or the factory, and need a custom build.

Training the internal team

Seasonal staff learn by asking the knowledge base

Every spring a dealer adds people to workshop planning, the parts counter and handover, and every spring the senior colleague answers the same questions: how to winterise a water system, what goes on the handover checklist for a new motorhome, how a water ingress request is prepared for the importer. An internal assistant answers from the owner handbooks, service manuals and your own procedures. A new counter colleague looking for the awning rail seal of a 2019 caravan finds the layout in the model list and the seal in the exploded view, without asking the workshop.

Each SimplyBoost account includes three AI agents: one for owners on the website, one for dealers and technicians in the portal or on WhatsApp, one for the internal team.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can workshop technicians use the assistant during a job?

Yes. With a WhatsApp Business number connected, a technician asks for the damp check points of a layout, the gas tightness test after a regulator swap, or an outboard service interval. The assistant answers from the service manuals and engine schedules in the technician's language. Anything outside the documents goes to the service team with the conversation.

Can it tell which part fits a specific caravan or outboard?

Yes, when the parts catalogues and a list of models, model years and serial number ranges are uploaded. It gives the part number from the catalogue and the exploded view, for a window seal as well as an impeller kit. It does not check stock or price; an order request goes to the parts team with the chassis or engine serial number.

How does it help with seasonal and new staff?

Seasonal staff ask the internal assistant instead of the senior colleague. It answers from the owner handbooks, service manuals and your own procedures for winterising, handover and warranty requests. The senior colleague keeps the difficult cases, and the new colleague learns the models in the weeks before the peak.

Do we need SimplyBoost or a custom build?

Start with SimplyBoost, our own product, when the answers live in documents such as handbooks, option lists, service manuals and parts catalogues. Choose a custom Crux build when the answer must come from a live system, such as factory delivery dates, a warranty claim status or workshop slots. Crux builds that alongside your IT partner, who keeps managing your systems.

Does it answer dealers in Belgium and Germany in their own language?

Yes. It replies in Dutch, French, German, Spanish or English, so a Flemish, Walloon or German dealer reads the same facts from one set of documents. Option lists, warranty conditions and service manuals only need to be uploaded once, in the languages you have them in.

Can the assistant decide a water ingress warranty claim?

No. It quotes your warranty conditions, tells the technician what to record at the damp check and collects the chassis number and the readings. The decision stays with the importer's service team, which receives the request in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias or Slack with the full conversation.
