An AI assistant for an e-bike brand answers riders, dealers and workshop mechanics from the brand's own dealer manual, compatibility tables and parts lists. It covers motor and display error codes, battery questions and which part fits which frame.
E-bike and speed pedelec brands sell through hundreds of bike shops, and every question a shop cannot answer lands on the service desk of the brand or its importer. An AI assistant answers most of them from the brand's own documents.
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Most questions an e-bike brand receives are already answered somewhere in its own documentation: the dealer manual, the error-code list for the drive system, the battery compatibility table, the parts list with exploded views and the warranty conditions. An AI assistant reads those documents and answers riders on the website and WhatsApp, dealers in the signed-in dealer portal and mechanics during a repair, in Dutch, French, German, Spanish or English. A warranty claim goes to your service team with the conversation attached. SimplyBoost, our own product, does this from your documents.
| Who | Typical question | Answered from |
|---|---|---|
| Riders | My display shows an error code. What do I do? Does my speed pedelec need a number plate? | User manual, rider FAQ, speed pedelec page |
| Dealers and bike shops | Does the new battery fit a 2023 frame? Is a cell failure covered? | Compatibility tables, warranty conditions, dealer manual |
| Mechanics in the workshop | Communication error after a firmware update. What do I check before a return? | Dealer manual, service bulletins, firmware release notes |
| The parts counter | Which display holder fits the 2024 model? | Parts list with exploded views, a CSV of part numbers per model year |
| New staff | How do we register a warranty claim? | Internal procedures, warranty manual, training material |
A mechanic who reads an error code from the display or the diagnostic tool needs one thing: what the brand says to check first. That sits in the dealer manual, a service bulletin or the release notes of the last firmware update, The assistant gives the mechanic those steps from your documents.
It runs on a WhatsApp line for workshops and inside the dealer portal, where mechanics who sign in are recognised by their verified email, so the assistant knows which shop they work for. When the documents do not cover the fault, or the next step is a motor or battery return, the conversation goes to your technical service in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias or Slack. The frame number and the checks already done travel with it.
Most e-bike parts questions are compatibility questions. A battery fits one mount and not the other, a display needs a minimum firmware version, a charger, rear carrier or motor cover differs per frame size and model year. Brands keep that in compatibility tables, parts lists and exploded views.
Upload those files as PDF, or as a CSV of part numbers per model and year, and the assistant answers the parts counter with the part number and the frames it fits. It reads the text of a parts list, so it quotes figure and position numbers, not the drawing itself. Stock and delivery dates live in your ordering system, so an order goes to your dealer desk with the part number in the conversation.
A brand's internal team grows in winter and is at full stretch in spring. New people at the service desk or parts counter learn the range by asking a senior colleague, who is then not answering dealers. SimplyBoost includes three AI agents per account, so one can serve the public website, one the dealer portal and one your own team.
The internal agent answers from the same dealer manual, warranty conditions and parts lists, plus internal procedures that dealers should not see: how a claim is registered, which goodwill rules apply, how a motor return is packed and shipped. A new colleague asks the agent first and takes to the senior colleague only what it could not answer.
