AI assistant for electric car importers and their dealer networks

An AI assistant answers charging, battery warranty, software update and recall questions from the importer's own owner manuals, workshop documentation and dealer bulletins. Customers, dealers, workshop technicians and new staff get the same answer, with the source.

An electric car importer answers the same questions all day: which charger a model takes, what the battery warranty says about remaining capacity, whether a car is part of a recall. The answers already sit in the owner manuals, workshop documentation and dealer bulletins. This page shows, with worked examples, how an AI assistant puts those documents to work for customers, dealers, technicians, the parts counter and new staff, and when a custom build is needed.

In short

Most questions an electric car importer receives are already answered, in documents nobody has time to search. Charging and range sit in the owner manual, fault codes and high-voltage procedures in the workshop documentation, battery terms in the warranty conditions, software and recall campaigns in the dealer bulletins. An AI assistant reads those files and answers customers on the website and WhatsApp, dealers in their portal and technicians during a job, names the source, and hands claims to your team. SimplyBoost, our own product, does this from your documents out of the box.

Who asks what, and which document holds the answer

Who asksTypical questionAnswered from

Parts counterWhich brake disc fits this VIN range? Is this number superseded?Parts catalogue, exploded views, supersession list
New staffHow is a battery warranty claim documented? Who decides on goodwill?Claim handbook, warranty conditions
Technician helpdesk

A technical helpdesk for the workshop, during the job

A dealer workshop new to a brand calls the importer's technical desk for things the workshop manual already answers: a fault code, the first check, the torque for the battery pack mounts, the coolant specification of the battery circuit. An assistant on a WhatsApp line or in the dealer portal answers from the workshop documentation and service bulletins, in the technician's language, and names the chapter so it can be checked.

High voltage needs care. In the Netherlands, only staff the employer has designated in writing under NEN 9140:2024 work on the high-voltage system, and the designation form lists the manufacturer's instructions for that vehicle as part of the training (Innovam designation form). The assistant puts those instructions one question away; it does not replace the designation. What the documents do not cover goes to your technical desk with VIN and dealer attached.

Parts

Parts questions by VIN range, model year and supersession

Parts questions at an EV importer are fit questions: which part belongs to which model, production period or VIN range, and whether an old part number has been replaced. The assistant answers from the parts catalogue, the exploded views and a supersession list, uploaded as PDF or CSV, and gives the part number with the models it fits. A dealer asking about a charging cable, a wiper arm or a 12-volt battery gets the answer the parts counter would give.

Ordering stays with people. When a dealer wants to order, the assistant collects the VIN, the part number, the quantity and the dealer, and hands the request to the parts team in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias or Slack. Stock and dealer prices live in your DMS or ERP; showing them in the conversation is a custom integration, not a document answer.

Training

New staff learn by asking the same knowledge base

A growing importer hires into the service desk, the parts counter and sales at once, and every new colleague interrupts the same two senior people. A separate internal assistant answers them from the claim handbook, internal procedures, bulletins and manuals. A SimplyBoost account has three AI agents: one for the public, one for the dealer portal, one for the internal team.

A new service desk employee asks how a battery warranty claim is documented and gets the procedure with its source; a new parts adviser asks how supersessions show in the catalogue. When the documents do not hold the answer, the assistant hands over to a colleague, which also shows you which procedures were never written down.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can workshop technicians use it during a job?

Yes. A technician sends the fault code or question on WhatsApp or in the dealer portal and gets the answer from the workshop manual and service bulletins, with the source named, while the car is on the lift. For high-voltage work the assistant gives the manufacturer's procedure; designating the technician under NEN 9140 remains the employer's responsibility.

Can it tell a dealer which part fits?

Yes, when the parts catalogue states the models, production periods or VIN ranges a part fits. Upload the catalogue and exploded views as PDF, or a CSV with part numbers and VIN ranges. Order requests go to your parts team with the VIN, part number and dealer attached. Stock levels need a custom link to your DMS or ERP.

How does it help train new staff?

New colleagues in the service desk, at the parts counter and in sales ask the assistant instead of a senior colleague. A separate internal agent answers from the claim handbook, the procedures, the bulletins and the manuals, with the source, and hands over to a person when the documents do not hold the answer.

Should we use SimplyBoost or a custom build?

Start with SimplyBoost, our own product, when the answers are in documents: manuals, bulletins, warranty conditions, catalogues. Choose a custom Crux Digits build when the answer has to come from a live system, such as campaign status per VIN, stock in the DMS or the warranty claims system. Crux works alongside your IT partner and hands over the code.

Can it say whether a car is part of a recall?

It explains a recall campaign from your bulletins and tells a Dutch customer to check the licence plate in the RDW recall register. It does not look up a single VIN in your campaign system; that needs a custom integration. It can collect the VIN and hand the question to your team.

Does it answer Belgian dealers in French?

Yes. It replies in the language the dealer or customer writes in, or in one fixed language you choose: Dutch, French, German, Spanish or English. One set of manuals and bulletins can serve dealers in the Netherlands, Flanders and Wallonia without separate copies.
